Finally
mothers all over Ireland have been proved wrong, We were brought up
beleiving that you cant leave the house with creases in your clothes,
many an evening have I slaved over a hot iron, busy removing creases in
trousers, shirts, underwear, socks but thankfuly the crease craze is
here.
There are now three different types of shirts you can buy, a normal
shirt, a non-iron shirt or a pre-creased shirt. The normal shirt is of
course the most worn shirt, it wears well and feels comfortable
unfortunatly it has to be ironed for it to look any way respectable. The
non-iron shirt sounds like a great invention, the creases simply fall
out of it however I find it stiffer and it feels like i'm wearing a
cornflakes box.
The pre-creased shirt is my personal favorite, you probably wouldnt get
away with one in the office as it looks like someone had slept in it or
used it as a doormat but you'll find that they are increasing with
popularity and for the office you might get away with a pre-creased tie,
the dearest ties in the shops are the ones that look like they've been
worn by your pet 'Jack Russell'. Iron manufacturers must be getting very
worried indeed as the mothers of 2000 are probably creasing their
childrens clothes and sending them to bed in their school uniforms so
they'll be nice and creasey for school in the morning.
