'You wait an hour then 10 come along at once'

How many times have you waited an hour for a bus then 3 come along at once?
How many times has a bus wizzed past you 3 minutes after you decided to start walking?
If only there was a way of knowing when the next bus is due?
Well citizens of Lucan need wait no more, The 25A bus stops are to get computer monitors which will let passengers know when the next bus is due.

The monitors are flat screen and are decorated in the familiar city swift orange and blue colours. Each has a small digital display which has the estimated time of the next bus, using GPS technology. There is a similar service on the dart line which has proved very effective but this is the first time a system
such as this has been introduced to a Dublin Bus route.

The 25A was one of the first services to be introduced to the new quality bus service, the number of buses increased and the buses were upgraded. This latest addition is very welcome, it will keep the waiting public happy and the bus drivers on their toes.
Hopefuly we'll see the service expanded to all bus routes over the coming months. The ideal situation would be to have them at taxi ranks altho that would probably be just too depressing, no one wants to know that they're going to be standing out in the rain for 3 hours.
