Review - Jan 2001 (sent March 2001)

Inn on the Liffey Guesthouse is very centrally located and a wonderful
place to spend a few days unwinding! I spent a fabulous New Year there,
with gay friends from New York and my partner. We were greeted warmly, and
found it an absolutely great place for meeting people, in fact we met as
many folks here than out in the bars! I can also recommend it for a mixed
crowd of both gay and straight freinds (as we are). Give it a try!

Review  by NYC-Man - June 2000

On the positive side, the Inn on the Liffy is inexpensive, unpretentious and conveniently located just a few minutes walk across the river to Temple Bar. It has a small dinning room that's quite and charming with a view of the river where you can get an Irish breakfast before setting out for the day. It also has a small bath house on the ground floor with a mixed too older cliental, also friendly and unpretentious.

On the down side the reception is also the entrance to the baths, which could be embarrassing for some guests if they are not prepared for it, the rooms are bordering on depressing, mix matched old furnishings and beds, TV but no phones and some sharing bathrooms, at the front of the Inn you at least have a view of the river to take your mind off the decor, but at the back, the views of slate roofs and old factories on a gray day can be a bit dismal I recommend you take shampoos etc. as they wern't supplied, and in two nights the beds wern't made for us nor towels or soap replaced, so be sure to pick up fresh supplies from the bath house attendant before you head upstairs.

We paid $150 for two people over two nights that included breakfast and unlimited use of the baths.

Review by Dubber - April 2000

Inn On The Liffey Guesthouse is located centraly along Dublins northside quays it boasts more facilities than any other gay guesthouse in the city. All of the guestrooms are en-suite with some overlooking the river Liffey. The guesthouse is very close to shopping areas such as Henry Street and Jervis Street and is a stonesthrow to many of Dublins gay venues as well as some of the trendiest straight ones too.
