The first totally interactive
gay web radio station has been launched www.manfm.com , aimed at gay men in the
UK and Ireland.
The concept is simple to supply an evening Manfest, we are
currently nearing the end of our first month of test broadcasts and have had
great support from guys who call the studio live or email us and interact with
the presenter and listeners, we also decend on several chatrooms and you can
send private messages to the studio (we are testing out several chat software at
the minute and hope to have a chatroom dedicated to ManFM listeners having said
this we find guys sometimes prefer to stick to their usual chatroom haunts which
is cool).
The idea was born quite simply to enable guys who are in remote places
to join in the online fun and not feel left out, we have had great success in
matching guys up and some good friendships have developed which is what its all
about. The shows are free to listen to and we have finally sourced a permanent
studio premises which we will be moving into shortly and will offer an open door
policy to guys wanting to come into the studio and on the air (sudject to them
being of sound body and mind!) We are also on the look out for budding Dj's and
presenters to have their own shows and actively encourage them to contact us at studio@manfm.com
and we will be in touch.
Guys can call us whilst we are on air and we have had
huge amounts of calls from lads all over the place including an avid American
listener from Washington, who has a strange facination for Welsh men! The best
calls are when we have two listeners on air at the same time either attempting
to cop off with each other or the DJ. Hopefully we can build on the concept and
are always happy to hear from anyone who is interested in taking part or
promoting their gay friendly business on air. We are on the air currently from
7pm till 12 am each evening tune in and check us out. www.manfm.com
