Puppetry of
the penis
There
is a sign outside the olympia at the moment getting a lot of
attention, its advertising the upcoming show "Puppetry of the
penis" which is a one night only show and forms part of the
theater fringe festival.
The
two stars of the show Simon Morley and David Friend basically get
paid to play with themselves. The two Australian's have mastered
the art of genital origami, put simply they stretch and fold their
'manly bits' into 45 different exotic shapes, landmarks and
objects including the loch ness monster, a kangaroo, a windsurfer,
and even the Eiffel Tower, all this projected onto a big screen on
the stage of the olympia so the two old ladies at the back can get
a better view.

The
two met by chance (half naked of course) in an aussie beer
garden, Simon Morley admits that it started as a hobby in
the bath and developed into a university party trick.
Himself and David, discovered a mutal talent and got to
work developing their plan to take over the world. |
Their debut show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 1998, was a
run away success, they went on to sell out Sydney followed by
other major cities around Australia. The duo now tour the world
with their bizarre show, they recently launced their own DIY
origami book titled "puppetry of the penis", a "how
to" book which explains how to perform each trick in the
comfort of your own home using photos and text. If anyone is
planning my Christmas present at the moment, trust me, i'de prefer
some socks!!
