Shirley takes up journalism

Today's Sunday Independent has an article written by Dublins most famous drag queen, 'Shirley Temple Bar'. The article is written in Shirleys witty style and is based on a weekend trip to Manchester to see the sights from TV's Queer as Folk TV show. Well worth a read.  

Rainbow Ball 2000

Baby 2k at Club Mono on Wexford Street plays host to this years 'Rainbow Ball', The dress code is bright and colourful with prizes for the most dazzling costumes and creations. Doors open at 11 and proceeds go towards Pride 2000.

Last chance to submit work to the OutArt exhibition

The ever popular OutArt exhibition is still accepting entries for this years exhibition. The theme of this year's exhibition is 'Queers at work'. OutArt is currently seeking proposals from artists who are interested in exploring the notion of 'work' and the nature of work in a queer person's life - taking a view of our working life, the activity in which we engage or the produce we produce. This years exhibition is open to artists of all sexualities. The exhibition is scheduled to take place in June in one of the major city center galleries.   Fruit Factory to move to new venue

Popular Thursday Night venue 'Fruit Factory' is moving from its current location on Harcourt Street to the venue of playground 'Pegs'/'Republica' on Kildare Street. The move will take place this Thursday.
